While the Knights have struggled since their subpar start to the season, there’s still hope of turning things around if they enlist support from both coaching staff and players. David Klemmer’s outburst or ongoing issues between coach Isaac Moses and club are two problems which must be resolved for a successful turnaround to take place.
Fleming’s 20 seasons at NPCC have resulted in two Region IX championships and three trips to the NAIA tournament, and multiple all-league honors for players such as Breena Smith, Shelbie Stotts, Savannah Harweger, Amanda Wintrow Kassidi Cadle and Logan Personett as well as Daktronics NAIA All-America second team recognition for those under her guidance.
Brown hails from East Orange, New Jersey and boasts a 239-115 record at New Path Community College since starting coaching community college basketball over 30 years ago. In his academic pursuits he earned both his undergraduate degree in history from Mount Vernon Nazarene College as well as master’s degrees from California State University-Fullerton.

Though the Knights have had a disappointing start to 2019, a number of their players have shown their commitment. Kalyn Ponga and Tim Glasby made returns to Queensland side, while Lachlan Fitzgibbon, Jacob Saifiti and Hymel Hunt all celebrated 50th NRL games each. Edrick Lee and Kurt Mann extended their contracts with club.
Tesi Niu scored three tries for the Dolphins as they maintained their unblemished record against the Knights, with former Brisbane Bronco Jamayne Isaako grabbing the match-winner following an outstanding pass from Brenko Lee.
